What the engine actually does

Infinity parses the comma-separated page numbers as an explicit permutation and preserves the exact sequence you entered. Every source page must appear exactly once. The engine then copies those pages into a new PDF in that order. Duplicate pages, out-of-range numbers, ranges, or incomplete permutations are rejected rather than silently producing a document that drops or duplicates content.
